LOVE THEM!!!

Finnaly i have found a pair I was looking for. Something simple but classy. I got them! I'm 5'11" and they are perfect on me! Outstanding quality and very affordable. Steve Madden Frencchh boots

I saw these boots on Amazon and really liked the look of them. I already have another pair of Steve Madden boots in a soft nubuck beige "Rannch" style and I loved them with the exception that the leather on those was a bit too soft and floppy on the shaft so they do slouch a bit more than I would like. These Frencchh boots in Cognac leather looked like they are made basically the same but that the uppers would have a bit more body to them and they do! They arrived today and I love them! The color is darker than the picture which I was thrilled to seeleather is very nice soft and pliable with a subtle pebble texture and yes they are made like and fit very comfortably like my Rannch style ones but these do have a better upper shaft as far as thickness and the ability to stand upright. They both have adjustable buckles at ankle and upper top so you can tighten or loosen them to fit you.(having an adjustable ankle strap is helpful if you happen to have some heel slippage in any boot) They have a decent amount of arch support and cushioning roomy round toe for comfort and the soles look very substantial and should last a long time. The heel height is a good one for walking. These are not flimsy fashion boots but sturdy well made boots that are tough enough to use for horseback riding walking etc. I ordered a 7 1/2 and I would say these run maybe a 1/2 size smaller. If the company makes more of these would be nice to have them about an inch taller at the top but really not a big deal. Stylish and very comfortable

I bought these boots at a very good price considering they were being sold for the original retail price at Nordstroms. I needed them for a weekend in Manhattan and these boots did not disappoint. They fit true to size and kept my feet nice and dry during a rainy day. The hardware gives these boots a wonderfully elegant feel. They went from day to night nicely with my skinny jeans tucked neatly inside. I walked around NYC all day with these boots on and they did not hurt my feet or give me blisters at all. This is my first time buying shoes online and I'm converted. These boots are great looking fit true to size and are very comfie. Nice looking boot but not too cool...

I was really excited to get these boots but when they arrived I found the leather quality to be subpar. They were also a bit too short for me (I am tall). Plus the lining is pvc and sticky. They just turned out to be of a much lower quality than I expected so I sent them back.More detail ...

Disappointed to say the least!

Normally faux leather doesn't look and feel so cheap. I suppose from a distance you can get away with this look but at the end of the day it was just too off for me. I couldn't get over the feel. Besides that the calf opening was not large enough to do anything with. I would suppose if you had thin calves this may not be a problem but for us girls that do possess muscular calves this is not the boot for us! The actual styling or appearance of the design was a great idea but they need to: either do this in a better faux leather or pump up the style with real leather AND either incorporate some type of stretch into the calf opening or just plain make it bigger. I mean the whole point of a "riding" boot is to be able to see the boot. This means that we need to be able to stuff our pants in them!! broken zipper

Upon trying these boots on for the first time the zipper broke. Also the buckle on the side of the boot looks fake and cheap. I quickly returned them.More detail ...

Order at least a size up!

This boot is definitely not true to size. I'm always a size 7 in shoes and I couldn't even get my foot past the ankle of the boot (on the right shoe at least). I was able to eventually get the left on one. Other than that it was beautiful and looked well-made. I just don't even know how many sizes I should order up in order to fit this.



Update: Okay I tried a 1/2 size up (7 1/2) and I still can't get my foot through the ankle part. I gave up and am returning these for good.More detail ...

Poor Quality

I love the way the boots look but everything else about them sucks. DO NOT spend 50$ on these shoes. They are very narrow and I do not have wide feet.



The worst part is that within two weeks of purchase (and LIGHT USE) the soles are wearing very very thin and the back of the heel has worn away to the plastic (!) underneath. Very upsetting. Not worth the money.More detail ...
